Cinder is trained to detect many types of ignitable liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, lighter fluids, diesel fuel and many more. An accelerant detection K-9 is a tool used to assist the fire investigator to determine if an ignitable liquid may have been used to start a fire and commit arson. When the K-9 alerts a sample is collected at that location and sent to a laboratory for analysis and confirmation. Her sense of smell is estimated to be 100,000 times more sensitive than a human. Cinder is a private sector K-9 used by insurance companies to rule out fraud and arson.
